The Kirkby Family Medical centre is based in the heart of Kirkby in Ashfield in a purpose built building serving approximately 4640 patients who live in Kirkby in Ashfield. 

GP Enhanced Access Scheme

Extended GP access service is accessible 6 days per week. Evening and Saturday appointments are available at our or at another local surgery and early morning from 7am appointments at our surgery with our nurse and HCA. All these appointments are pre-bookable.

111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

Non-urgent advice: Everyone is being reminded to follow Public Health England advice to:

Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Then bin the tissue, and wash your hands, or use a sanitiser gel.

Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
